High strength mold making RTV-2 silicone rubber for reproduction of cement molding
Product Description
RTV2 mold making rubber is a two-component material, consisting of Part A base silicone and Part B CA30 curing agent, cures at room temperature by a condensation reaction. These materials can be cast into the cured silicone mold: plaster, polyurethane, PU, GRC, cement, resin, polyester, wax etc.
Application
MC RTV2 series are suited for reproduction of cement molding, concrete stones, artificial stones, plaster molding, figures, art objects, decoration molding, GRC products, gypsum products, resin products, PU molds, etc.

FEATURES
Mixing
Please weight 100 Part A base and 2 parts of B the Curing Agent in a clean container. Thoroughly stir Part A base silicone before use, as filler separation may occur upon prolonged storage. Mixing Part A and Part B evenly until the CA30 completely dispersed in the base. Hand or mechanical mixing can be used, but do not for an extended period of time or allow the temperature to exceed 35C (95F). Mix suitably small quantities to ensure thorough mixing of base and curing agent.
It is strongly recommended that entrapped air be removed in a vacuum chamber, allowing the mix to completely expand and then collapse. After a further 1-2 minutes under vacuum, the mix should be inspected and can be used if free of air bubbles. A volume increase of 3-5 times will occur on vacuum de-airing the mixture. So a suitably large container should be chosen.

Storage and Precautions of silicone liquid rubber:
RTV-2 silicone rubber for making art crafts, which is an environmentally-friendly liquid silicone product, is not easy to burn and can be stored and transported as non-hazardous goods. The shelf life of the product is about one year from the date of production. Inspection is required when exceeding the time limited. It can continue to be used in case of neither thickening nor deterioration.
Why does the silicone rubber mold have few molding times?
The silicone rubber mold has few molding times is due to follwoing reasons: adding too much silicone oil which will destroy the molecular of silicone rubber; making the mold for small and fine detailed products with higher hardness silicone rubber which is easy to break; making the mold for large products with soft silicone rubber which will reduce the tensile and tear strength of the mold, and the mold will have deformation. Thus, we should take the proper silicone rubber to make the mold for suitable products.
